Beyond Bandages is a support group for those who self-injure in any way, or those in the process of overcoming looking for support.

Wouldn't it be great to have a support group to go to, or one that you can refer someone to? We think so as well and that is why in 2012 we will be launching "Beyond Bandages Around State". 

Long before Launching Point was an official organization, our founder Vicki Duffy was helping people and offering resources through a self help website that bag. Every time a person asked about a self-injury support group, there wasn't any available. Then, Vicki had the idea to begin a self-injury support group!

In 2001, prior to Launching Point being an official organization, Vicki Duffy started a self-injury support group.  She started off in small room of a church on November 11, 2005. It was known as BSSI (Breaking the Silence of Self-Injury) and when Launching Point was officially declared a charitable organization, the name changed to Beyond Bandages. Now, at 6 years later, Beyond Bandages is still going strong and part of the offerings at Launching Point!

We are looking to expand Beyond Bandages to your area!  It is our goal to have a Beyond Bandages available in every county of every state nationwide! Starting in January of 2012, we hope over the next 5 years to obtain that goal where a person in any state has a group to go to in their area.

Are you interested in starting a Beyond Bandages in your area?

  • Our founder, Vicki Duffy is looking to launch Beyond Bandages self-injury support group in every county of every state over the next 5 years, kicking off in January 2012! :-)
  • We'd provide a "starter package" and training. Details to follow...anyone interested in leading a Beyond Bandages should have a 2 year minimum of being self-injury free.

  • Although we are in the begining stages of getting everything together, we will be kicking off  Beyond Bandages "around the state" in 2012. Vicki will be in  contact you with more details once we have everything outlined.
