Launching Point provides compassionate support & relevant resources to those who self-injure as well as those who have a loved one who causes self-inflicted pain, injuries, cuts and/or burns to his/her own body (as a way of coping). Through its founder, Launching Point has been providing self-injury support, resources, awareness, information, and literature since 2001. If you are not familiar with Launching Point and your first contact with us is online, we would be pleased to hear from you! Our Mission
Our purpose at Launching Point is to devote our time and efforts to helping people who struggle with self-injury as well as assist loved ones while providing self-injury awareness, support, and relevant resources. We have a firm belief that everyone can overcome self-injury and self-destructive behavior, taking off to higher heights, aiming toward a healthy life! Fundraising
Our founder has entered a triathlon that we refer to as "Tri-ing for Self-Injurers". The purpose is to raise self-injury awareness and fund via sponsorship. It is our goal to continue to help the hurting and broken-hearted that Launching Point reaches out to. The triathlon will take place at Mercer County Park, NJ on Sunday, July 27, 2008.
